Welcome to the Wolff Lab at Texas A&M University! Our research focuses on in-situ imaging of additive manufacturing processes. The goal of this research is to identify and control the laser-matter interactions that occur when particles deposit into a molten pool during the additive manufacturing process. This is important because understanding the underlying physical phenomena during additive manufacturing can provide new methods of processing, synthesizing, and building of new materials with fine-tuned properties for biomedical prostheses, aerospace components, improved structures, and the list goes on.
We have immediate openings for students to work in the group. Please take a look at the Opportunities page for descriptions of these openings.
