The Wolff lab has immediate openings for a postdoctoral scholar and PhD students.
As a postdoctoral scholar or PhD student, you will be involved in building open-architecture additive manufacturing processing platforms, conducting experiments with high-speed cameras, conducting experiments at a synchrotron source, analyzing large amounts of data, developing physics-based models, and taking leadership over your own research project. Applicants should have a background in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, applied physics, or materials science. Qualifications include strong experimental and analytical skills. Preferred skills include programming in Matlab or Python and experience in finite element modeling.
